Terms of Use
GovBot Mitigation Plans (https://plans-api.govbot.ai). Effective date: 2026-10-19.
Provider
The GovBot Mitigation Plans service at plans-api.govbot.ai is provided by Ideation Lab, Corp. Use of the service constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Service
- The service is a read-only public-record service. It answers questions about local hazard mitigation plans in the United States from its own database of plan documents and public FEMA registry data. It does not create, change or delete any record.
- No account or sign-in is required.
Nature of the information
- Plan status, approval and expiration dates are data fields from FEMA's hazard mitigation plan registry.
- Plan content values are as recorded in the plan at its date, with page citations. They are not current conditions and are not determinations of plan compliance, approval, funding eligibility or any other legal or regulatory matter.
- The library does not contain every plan, and an empty result is not evidence that a plan omits an item. The service is provided as is, without warranty of completeness, accuracy or availability. Verify material values against the cited plan page.
- The service provides no legal, engineering, insurance or funding advice.
Acceptable use
- Use the service to answer questions about hazard mitigation plans.
- Automated bulk retrieval, scraping, and reproducing or redistributing the compiled database or substantial parts of it are not permitted. Results are limited to the first 500 matches per query, and request rates are limited per network address.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or circumvent its limits.
Ownership
The underlying plan documents are public records of the jurisdictions that prepared them. The compilation, extraction and structure of the plan content are the work of Ideation Lab, Corp.
Affiliation
The service is not affiliated with or endorsed by FEMA, any other government agency, or OpenAI.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the effective date above records the current version.
